Why I Stopped Posting on Instagram (And What I’m Sharing Instead)

Taking a Pause, Sharing a Heart

I could have posted these on Instagram, but I’m taking a break. For how long? I’m not sure. It’s been over a month now, and I’ve been asking myself: can God really be glorified on a platform that often seems more about showing than hearing?

Yet I know God is bigger than all that. Still, I can’t ignore the time involved, the endless scrolling, the ads, the bots, the spammy followers, and the so-called “experts” promising to build my online presence. For such little feedback, I wonder—is it worth the effort?

I do miss seeing some people’s updates, those little glimpses into their lives. But the noise—the clutter—often drowns out the quiet whisper of God.

So, I’m posting here instead. It’s quiet. Maybe too quiet. But according to my web analytics, people are reading. And I pray that as you read, God reaches out and touches your heart as He has touched mine.

These are pictures of His creation. I share them not to glorify the creation itself, but to point to the Creator.

In the quiet, in the stillness, perhaps there’s space to see Him more clearly.
